Russell Jolivet is the Senior Vice President, Talent Acquisition focused on their enterprise technology & wholesale banking recruiting initiatives for SunTrust, Inc., based in Atlanta, GA. SunTrust Banks is an Atlanta based fortune 500 financial institution with over $208 billion in assets as of June 30, 2018. The company provides deposit, credit, trust, investment, mortgage, asset management, securities, brokerage and capital market services.
Russell’s career has been split between business and human capital. Earlier in his career, Russell focused on marketing, corporate finance / strategic planning and management consulting. The past 20 years have been spent in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Diversity Recruiting, Veterans Recruiting and College / MBA Recruiting. Just prior to SunTrust, Russell led Talent Acquisition for a $5 billion private equity portfolio company, Asurion, in the technology, telecom, and services sectors.
His career experience spans across five industries. In addition Russell has worked and lived in 12 cities including three continents (Middle East/North Africa, North and South America). He has held leadership roles at Conoco Inc., Booz Allen & Hamilton Management Consulting firm, Korn Ferry International Executive Search Firm, Warner Bros., Harrah’s Entertainment (now Caesars Entertainment) and Asurion. In addition, Russell started and ran his own mortgage and real estate firm.
Previous industries include energy, insurance, telecom, gaming / hospitality, film / entertainment, management consulting and executive search.
Russell earned a BA degree in finance from the University of Texas, Austin and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Russell currently serves on the board of Georgia Diversity Council and Breakthrough Atlanta. Russell is an avid international traveler and foodie. He has visited 90+ countries.
